Project 1 / The Circle of Life

This project started off far from where my project finished. I originally wanted DNA to go into this pipe and have it create the five elements. It all came down to the pictures that I was able to obtain and how i was going to incorporate them into my animation. Stretching from my idea of the elements I decided to make it in a warehouse, and have half of the objects man made. This shows you how DNA, which helps create life, is also the reason why humans can create these "MACHINES". I show how DNA effects the flow of life and just how life starts is abruptly ends.

Project 2 / 3rd Planet

When I first started to scetch out ideas it looked nothing like it does now. I originally wanted a guy to be sucked into a black hole where he would be ripped apart by random monsters. After drawing it out and showing my roommates I was able to come up with a new idea. This idea was helped when randomly looking through images on NASA's web site, which is where I was able to find the mosaic painting. Finally I sent this creature on the journey of his life, by deconstruction he is able to find his place in the universe.

Project 3 / An Ode to the Nocturnal Muse

This project was my first with sound, and I wanted to make something that went along with the music yet still told some sort of story. The story told is this animation is much like my last one, where by the end the mind has been expanded. We are all given infinite knowledge yet some of us are able to do more with that. The song in the background is a song my "Bassnectar" called "I wish I was a Hipster". Even though this was the song that i chose it was not the song that inspired me, I was inspired by the band Animal Collective and there crazy lyrics. The project turned out about how I wanted it yet with more time I could still change a lot about it.

Project 4 / All That's To Come

This is an animation that is based off of something that I had in one of my old drawing books. The emotion that I am trying to convey is one that makes you question your life as it is and what is in store for you. Humans have been around for a very long time and here we are, smack dab in the middle of the age of technology. We have advanced greatly in just the past 50 years, think of what the next 10 years are going to be like. The past is our foundation, the future is our canvas, and you live now.

Final Project / A Love Story

We are here observing these lions in their natural habitat, Africa. Notice as the male lion has caught the eye of the female lion. They have meet like many humans, at their nearest watering hole. From this first glance they spark something new and quickly move into daydreaming and staring into the stars at night. It would almost be as if they were connected even when they are apart. In the end there are brought together for eternity because there love is so strong.
