Project 1 / Mr. Muffinhead Machine

I originally had and idea to have a muffin on a conveyor belt and it was going to get shot with a life ray. After the muffin was shot with the ray he would jump off the conveyor belt and go to a vending machine full of muffin clothing. I liked the idea of the vending machine and I felt I could expand on it more until it became my whole animation. I had multiple outfits and only used two of the three outfits. My end result was partially unexpected. I basically I had a story board written and I had it animated and it was not very long, so I improvised. At the end of it all, after the animation was complete I tweeked small details to make it seem realistic(even though it is a walking muffin).

Project 2 / Investigation of the Universe

This was one of three ideas and I chose this because it had the most freedom for creativity. I focused too much on the creatures I was going to put in the planet than I did on scenery, which is very apparent. My idea was not completed in this project due to the time I was drawing blanks on how to transition from place to place. Some of the transitions are utter rediculous, so you can tell at what point in the creative process I lost the fire of creativity. The project is supposed to go down to an atomic scale and reveal everything in the planet is made of pickles. The crosshairs were not put in for the second half of the film and neither were the information panels. If they were in the project it would be more clear. Time was a huge issue on this project, all it took was one day of "writers block" to put me behind on this project.

Project 3 / Story Of A Broken Heart

With this third project I decided to stray from the norm of the class. We tend to have fun and exciting projects and I decided to take a darker more serious look on things. The theme of the project was also on the darker part because I have been having a rough time and I was inspired by some recent events in my life to write this story. The final quotation is from a Bayside song called “Carry On”. Hit home and decided to put it in the animation to solidify the story. It was very interesting to see how my ideas flourished once I hit obstacles. Walking was very simple for this project because I made myself a few shortcuts but there was still a lot of copy and paste of keyframes. Sleep was lost doing this animation because once I got into the story I had to make everything perfect. I had to get creative with it and I enjoy the final product. There were a couple housekeeping issues like putting effects on the text that I did not get to which is disappointing. Overall I enjoyed getting to work with audio for this project.

Project 4 / Mythical Textical

This project was an accumulation of ideas slapped together. Solely based around my desire to make a moonwalking centaur. I decided to make hand drawn text with mythical creatures incorporated. I ended up using all of my own sounds for the animation to make it more personalized. The whole animation was based around humor for the most part. Mostly because I don't come up with very serious idea for the most part.

Final Project / Drunk In Public

This project, I found music files I liked and I created an idea from how I felt the audio should be intetrpreted. I had a friend help with idea to make things go smoother and have someones opinion on the project other than my own. Every idea in the movie, for the most part, is a hybrid between our thoughts.
