Project 1 / The Reverse Shredder

The concept sketches for a soviet reverse paper shredder where recently recovered in Stalingrad. Thank god the technology was never realized or we would be in it deep. This annimation shows how these master minds might have operated the machine to decoded the shredded bits.

Project 2 / Bergen Bagel: Time, Sound, Space.

By recording the steps, sounds and time it takes to walk for a morning bagel one can gather information that might otherwise be overlooked. The sensory experience is examined and visualized in a set of annimated information graphics that give a quick glance at the trip. The information that is collected acts almost as a map or journal of the event.

Project 3 / Sleep and His Half Brother

The grey area between being deep in sleep and completely conscious was the inspiration for this pop-film inspired video. The repeated disruption caused by the alarm clock and the battle to get back into that dream space is looked at through the abrupt audio and visual cuts and the repeating hypnotic beat through the piece.

Project 4 / Keep Your Head On A Swivel

Sports commentators have always made me laugh with their hyperbolic amplification of even the most tiring play. Not all commentary is stuffy or even related to action taking place. I compiled the most nonsensical commentator goal celebrations from recent years. 30 seconds of extraneous excitment unleashed.

Final Project / Injected Motion

The objective for this project was to create motion pieces that bring to life a few of my advertising projects. The simple visual aesthetic of the annimations was implemented to minimize distractions making the work the primary focus and the annimation the vehicle to share the idea and make the work more compelling and colorful.
