Project 1 / Fresh # Sole Sample Site

This is an experimentation site, looking to understand css and jquery better. Under the guise of a sneaker news site, simple UI items were created to help enhance the readerÕs experience. Each experience element was inspired by some other fashion blog and news sites.

Vignellisms

Project 2 / Vignelli-ism

Massimo Vignelli was a strong advocate of uniformity and clarity, which are tenets of the modernist philosophy. Grids, bold colors and san-serif typefaces were some of the tools that Vignelli employed to achieve these principals. In homage to Vignelli, a quote from the man himself is constructed around these elements, while the user is left to explore and learn the message Vignelli is trying to relay - "If you do it right, it will last forever."

Insta-ppropriation-gram

Project 3 / The Insta-ppropriation-gram!

Througout its' history, photography was a an expressive medium limited to the platform of an actual camera, which also entailed tons of work. Even more so, the audience for a taken photo was often limited, sometimes to just the photographer. However, the birth of the smartphone and social network/media sites broke these limitations, allowing the world to become both photographer and audience. With this said, the lines between amateur and professional, art and recreation, beautiful and ugly are blurred. The purpose of this project/experiment is to help merge these lines, allowing users to appropriate their taken photos in a different manner and create something brand new. Twilight - A Hypeframework Study

Final Project / "Twilight" Experimentations in Hypeframework

I always found Chase Twichell's "Twilight" to be rather intriguing. To me, the poem means the moment of inspiration or the spark of one's creativity. This is why I have chosen this poem against my hypeframework motion/interaction experiments. Like the poem, I worked with the framework to create visuals that were abstract and lend to each stanza's subjectvity. This allows the user to play freely against the canvas set on each page while revealing the lines of the poem. With each person's varied perspective on the created visuals and poem, I hope for the user to discover its countless meanings.
