Project 1 / Princess Cut

An experiment with JQuery and CSS. Getting ready to know animation using code. These simple illustrations of a diamond mimic its behaviors. When working with the medium one will realize that diamonds are not forever..

Project 2 / Alzheimer's Disease | STAGE 1-2 | Fading Away..

Alzheimer's is still very underfunded illness that is touching more people each year. Currently there are 5 million Americans living with AD and by 2050 the number could triple. The purpose of this animation exercise is to bring awareness and let the viewer experience of how volatile our memory can be when compromised. When projected on a big screen in scale 1:1ration to human body size the viewer could feel as if objects/time is passing by with no point of return.

Project 3 / Folk Art | Reworking the old into the new.

Folk Art is ever changing. The process or reworking the old into the new makes perfect sense when using new technology.  Using Hypeframework I was able to generate a winter pattern made out of simple geometric folk inspired symbols in SVG format. The code playing the role of a virtual brush created a pattern on a gird layout coloring it randomly.  In the next exercise I decided to push it forward and restructured the code so that it rotates the elements randomly while changing their scale from 3 to 25. I picked only one SVG element from the previous composition and duplicated it. All of the elements were placed in a typographic form reading "zima" which means winter in Polish.  The output was a vector file in PDF format that was later printed on a large scale 13x19 inches quality paper using four color process.

Final Project / Digital Fine Art.

Can digitally created fine art become the new social norm in its value, both commercially and culturally.
