Project 1 / My Own Private Idaho

I approached this design as a way to further challenge myself and my coding skills. I wanted to push myself to experiment with CSS animation as well as jQuery. I aimed to create a cohesive atmosphere that hinted at the film's narrative as well as give statistical information. I chose My Own Private Idaho,because of its representation of characters with ambiguous identities, an area of research that I am particularly interested in.

Project 2 / Mysterious Skin Type Animation

An exploration of type animation using CSS and jQuery. I used animate.css and textillate.js to achieve this animation.

Project 3 / Digital Drawing

A generative exercise that allows the user to create an expressive composition of lines with varying weights based on how he/she interacts with the screen. I added CSS styling to the background color to add more complexity to the drawing experience.

Final Project / Gregg Araki

An informational and interactive site outlining the accomplishments of filmmaker, Gregg Araki. Araki is a primary point of research for me because of his inclusion of characters with ambiguous/ fluid identities in his films. I also wanted to further push and experiment with my jQuery and CSS skills with this last site.
